Blackwater Quarries & Concrete (BQC) is located 25 kilometres north of Blackwater, overlooking the Bedford Weir.
BQC is a basalt quarry, with a resource life of 50+ years, and is recognised throughout the region for its high grade resource.
BQC produces a complete range of quarry products, including aggregates, roadbase, rail ballast, blast stemming, rip rap, drainage rock, crusher dust, as well as pre-coat aggregate. BQC also supplies clean fill, top soil, sand, and decorative stone.
BQC is both TMR and Aurizon (QR) certified. BQC is also Third Party Accredited.
In addition to quarry products, BQC has an onsite, fully automated, concrete batch plant. The batch plant produces a complete range of concrete products, and can supply concrete up to 100 kilometres from Blackwater.
Onsite at BQC there is an automated weigh bridge, and fully serviced accommodation facilities. BQC is a permanently manned quarry, open 7 days a week, and welcomes the public, and well as all commercial requirements.
